Suhani Bhatnagar Passes Away at 19 Due to Dermatomyositis Disease.

Suhani Bhatnagar, a young actor best known for playing little Babita Phogat in the 2016 hit movie Dangal, sadly passed away on Friday at the age of 19. The film industry, along with her followers, are in shock and sadness over the news of her early demise.

Suhani Bhatnagar’s illness and hospitalization

Suhani Bhatnagar passed away due to symptoms from a rare inflammatory condition called dermatomyositis, which results in muscle weakness and skin rashes. At the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in Delhi, she had been admitted on February 7 and struggled with health problems until her death on February 16. According to her father, Sumit Bhatnagar, Suhani’s condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to lung damage due to the accumulation of excess fluid.

The talented actress from Faridabad had paused her acting career to concentrate on studies. Her unexpected passing has saddened her family, friends, and the film industry. Suhani’s cremation took place on Saturday at Ajronda cremation ground in Delhi, where her final rites were conducted.

Suhani became famous for playing the role of young Babita Phogat in the movie Dangal, alongside Aamir Khan who portrayed her on-screen father, Mahavir Phogat. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film tells the inspiring story of wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita.

The industry was flooded with condolences and tributes, and Aamir Khan Productions expressed their sincere condolences at Suhani’s loss. Her fellow actors and coworkers expressed shock and sadness at her passing, while director Nitesh Tiwari described her as a “happy soul, so full of life.”
